TOWER HILL STATE PARK

Trip made in: May

STATE PARK RATING: TOWER HILL STATE PARK

**

Topography and Geology of area-

Lead veins can be found on the top of the bluff where they were mined and dropped down and shot tunnel and carried onto barges on the Wisconsin River.

Hardwood forest with heavy foliage around river.

Common activities:

Picnicking and hiking.

wonderful view of the Wisconsin River.

The cave that buckshot was dropped into to be loaded onto barges.

My parents having a grand ole' time at the park while looking at the view.

The beautiful Wisconsin River is part of this expanse and the small bluff that is tower hill contains iron ore and the shot house and well that connects to the tunnel is a very unique site.
