DEVILS LAKE STATE PARK

I have visited this park many times and each time I visit I discover new niches that renew my interest. The bluffs are beautiful to hike on as long as you don’t walk on them during the extreme heat of the summer sun.

Trip made in: July

STATE PARK RATING: DEVIL’S LAKE STATE PARK

****

Topography and Geology of area-

Bluffs, lake, mixed wooded areas, and other rocky regions.

Common activities:

Swimming, hiking, camping, fishing, bicycling, concessions, and picnicking.

This is a park that I get to visit several times a year. There is bluffs to hike on, water to swim in, and a lot of places to walk without being hidden in a forest.

Here is a picture right off the new beach on the South side with a good look of the bluff.

Here is another view of the lake on one of the smaller beaches.
