PERROT STATE PARK

Trip made in: August

STATE PARK RATING: PERROT STATE PARK

*****

Topography and Geology of area-

Bluffs of the Mississippi River can be seen best through the stairway that takes you through the native grasslands which are Goat Prairies.

Jack Pine thickets are prevalent through the area.

Common activities:

Hiking, camping, picnicking, bicycling, boating, naturalist programs, horse trails, and volunteers.

This is one of my favorite state parks as it has one of the longest stairways and has an amazing view of the Mississippi. There is also a small house like structure on the top to rest under as you are right under the sun or so it feels when going up the stairs. This park has several roads, make sure to drive on all of them.
