BLUE MOUNDS STATE PARK

Trip made in: March

STATE PARK RATING: BLUE MOUND STATE PARK

***

Two observation towers, large mixed woods, and swimming pool.

The towers allow you to scan the park’s woods (1153 acres) and surrounding town area.

Highest elevation point is 1716ft.

On the towers you can view the landscape at distances nearly 50 miles away.

Common activities:

Hiking, bicycling, and picnicking.

This is the only park I have encountered that has 2 observation towers and that’s probably because it is the tallest point in southern Wisconsin and you can honestly see all around you for miles. The woods are extensive with a lot of rugged trails.
