LAKE WAUBESA AND LAKE KEGONSA STATE PARKS

Trip made in: April

STATE PARK RATING: LAKE WAUBESA AND LAKE KEGONSA STATE PARKS

**

Topography and Geology of area-

Indian mounds, pine plantation, beach, and lake

There two parks are very near each other and almost identical to their recreational uses and topography. However, there were several private outcroppings into the water that made the trip worthwhile.

Probably one of the largest trees I've ever seen in the midwest I was attempting to climb it as the limbs were quite close to the ground.

Even my brother's deep meditation could not keep the large boats at bay and other adventurous folk from disturbing our very serene but smelly parks.

There two lakes really should be one state park as they are really are one in the same. They both provide similar recreational uses and also have the same type of trees and wildlife as they are close to Madison.
